This phenomenal recipe is quick and painless! In fact, it makes enough that you can portion it out for 4 lunches! That's what we use it for since it can be made in advance and stored for the week in the fridge!


Southern Illinois Deer Alfredo Recipe


Serves 4


Ingredients:

1 lb Deer Steak, diced, with salt and pepper

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 pckg Rotini Noodles

4 + 2 cups Beef Broth

2 tsp Cornstarch in 1/4 cup Cold Water, stirred

1/4 cup Flour

2 cups Sour Cream

1/2 cup Organic Ketchup

1/4 cup White Vinegar


Directions:

  1. Season the diced deer meat with salt and pepper, and bake for 30 minutes on 350.

  2. In a large pot, add 4 cups Beef Broth and pour in the Rotini Noodles. Boil according to package directions.

  3. In a saucepan, add 2 cups Beef Broth, 1 tsp Onion Powder, and 1 tsp Garlic Powder, and bring to a boil.

  4. Prepare the 2 tsp Cornstarch by mixing in a 1/4 cup Cold Water. Add to the saucepan and mix well. Turn heat to low and allow to thicken.

  5. Once thickened for 5 minutes, add up to a 1/4 cup Flour to thicken to desired consistency for your sauce.

  6. Remove saucepan from heat, and add Sour Cream, Organic Ketchup, and White Vinegar.

  7. Stir well.

  8. Strain noodles and add to the saucepan. Add meat and stir well.

  9. Serve!
